So, why is Round Tower IPS being overtaken by little Easter chicks??!!
Here is Kody's (P4/5) story in the words of his Mum Megan...On the 12th of April 2010 I gave birth to a 'healthy' baby boy! Little did I know at just 7 weeks old Kody would start one of the biggest fights of his life, unbeknown to us Kody was born with a genetic liver disease called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. We were introduced to CLDF on one of Kody's many trips to Birmingham children's hospital whe...re we received countless support from them. They gave us information on alpha-1, what to expect and explained that they hope one day research funded by them would find a cure. As Kody has grew older we have went on many events organised by CLDF and met lots of families who have became very good friends, so now it's time to give a little back! Help our fight to find a cure, to one day finally end childhood liver disease.
Thank you for sharing your story Megan. PTA is delighted to support this lovely fundraiser. Chicks on sale Thursday 1st March in school 1pm - 3pm, let's all give a little to help a lot!

We have been approached by a lovely school family (Megan Close) to fund raise for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. This charity has offered great support to Kody Close (P4/5) and his family. PTA is delighted to take up this challenge.
Our idea is to get some volunteer knitters to knit little yellow chicks, to be sold in school. All proceeds to go directly to the charity.
We already have some groovy Granny’s onboard, however, the more the merrier. We plan to sell these cute wee chicks in school late Feb/early March for £1 each. These chicks make lovely Easter decorations/gifts.
Please get in touch if you would like to get involved and knit some chicks for us, or maybe a good opportunity for some Granny’s to get their knitting needles out!
Give me a shout if you would like a knitting pattern for these chicks.
If you are not a knitter (like myself!) then we hope you will support this great charity by letting your child buy a chick when they go on sale.
