Well done to Kornelia and Chloe on being selected as Wednesday Winners. They were the lucky 2 pupils from our class to be chosen to be waited on at dinner time. The girls felt very special indeed! Remember it could be you next Wednesday - all you have to do is take a dinner instead of a packed lunch next Wednesday. Good luck!Blog imageBlog image

Shared EducationEvents

Posted by J Murray Wed, June 06, 2018 06:22PM

The children had their final Shared Education session today with the P5 pupils from Parkhall Primary. We thoroughly enjoyed Scientifc Sue who taught us lots of science! She showed us the different types of forces we use everyday without realising it and performed lots of amazing experiments. We enjoyed finding out about pushes and pulls, gravity, magnetic forces and particularly enjoyed the rockets being launched.

Thankyou to Parkhall for making Shared Education so much fun. We will be having a session for parents and pupils at Parkhall on 13th June at 3:30pm. It would be great if parents could attend. Please complete the letter regarding this event by Friday 8th June.Blog image

BFG PotionsActivities

Posted by J Murray Thu, March 01, 2018 06:38PM

The pupils investigated what substance the BFG may have used for making his potions. The children all had to predict if the substance would dissolve in the water and also had to explain why the test was fair.

The children all worked well together in their groups and were able to record their results. They even thought of their own potions!!

World Book DayEvents

The pupils showed off their reading skills to P1 and P2 pupils to celebrate World book Day. The children really enjoyed demonstrating how to read with expression and were great role models for the P1/P2 pupils.

Well done to all the children who have completed five squares on the Reading Rocks grid. Some children even managed more than five squares. Many thanks to all the adults who encouraged their children to read more!!

The children had fabulous fun playing the drums with Joe. The pupils were taught how beat out a variety of rhythms. They all participated and enjoyed making a lot of noise!!!
