The pupils showed off their reading skills to P1 and P2 pupils to celebrate World book Day. The children really enjoyed demonstrating how to read with expression and were great role models for the P1/P2 pupils.
Well done to all the children who have completed five squares on the Reading Rocks grid. Some children even managed more than five squares. Many thanks to all the adults who encouraged their children to read more!!

As part of our volcano topic the pupils have enjoyed investigating why and how volcanoes erupt. The children researched famous volcanoes and have written newspaper reports about Mount Agung in Bali that has recently threatened to erupt.
In World Around Us the children replicated an eruption by using baking soda and vinegar. The children all enjoyed the topic of volcanoes and are excited about our new topic space.
