The focus for today's football session was dribbling. The children practised keeping the ball controlled using the inner part of their preferred kicking foot.
The class had to pretend the ball was a puppy going for a controlled walk to reinforce keeping the ball close to their feet at all times when dribbling.
They then had to pretend the ball was an egg to reinforce gentle touches of the ball.
The body parts game - the children dribbled the football around the hall. Damien called out different body parts for the children to stop the ball, i.e. knee, back and foot.
Well done to the star players this week for super dribbling skills: the whole class! Damien was so impressed with every child in the class today for attitude, behaviour and skill!
Reminder: Tomorrow the class will be going to Parkhall Primary School for the Shared Education Project.
