P1 Mrs Allen's Class

Shared Education with Parkhall Primary

EventsPosted by Mrs Allen Wed, May 16, 2018 04:21PM

We had great fun today down at the Castle gardens with the children from Parkhall primary. We went on the bus. First of all we sang two Julia Donaldson songs to the audience. The we made 5 teams of children and they spent about 10 minutes at each activity. We had a scavenger hunt, parachute games, musical instruments, a book stop and an obstacle game.

Children had time to eat their lunch and have a quick run around before we went back to school on the bus.

Some children fell asleep on their desk when we came back into class.

We were so glad that the sun shone on us the whole time.

Oh my goodness the children are so excited. They just love dressing up!!

I'm sure you'll all agree they look fantastic.

They have just written a sentence about what they want to be when they grow up.

Number challenges in the morning

ActivitiesPosted by Mrs Allen Wed, May 02, 2018 04:43PM

This is what the children do when they come into class in the morning.

Testing the cars to see which is the fastest.

Sharing out the buns fairly with the dolls.

Playing Kim's game.

Building a house with a roof.

Trying to see who can fit the most things in the dish that are the same colour.

Making a bridge for the animals to cross the river.

As you can see there's lots of fun as well as lots of learning going on.

We love to get out to the playgroup garden where the children can choose to play at an activity and make new friends. this provides a great opportunity to develop their language skills.
