Just in case your children come home saying that they are hungry? They actually are all very good at eating their dinners. Most of the children will have a go at something new.
This was taken last week.

Have a look and see if you can recognise some very happy faces on the new school banner.
Isn't it lovely?

Welcome to all the new children in P1.
Please complete and return all forms so that I can start putting up children's pictures on this Website.
The children have settled in very well and today they decided on our class rules. Kaitlyn knew what a rule was and Prezlee said told us the number 4 rule.
Remember the children stay until 2pm from Monday 18th September 2017
Also - on Friday 8th September you are invited to an informal chat in the classroom with myself and other parents.

Thank you to all the children's parents who came into school this week. I hope it has been worthwhile and you have learned something new.
WELCOME to some parents who were not aware of our website.
This way of sharing information keeps you involved and aware of what is being done in class. At the end of each day children are tired and don't really want to tell their parents what they have been doing all day. Lots of children go home and say they have done "nothing" all day. I hope the photos that I share with you give you some insight and keep you informed about what stage work is at in class.
Cuisenaire is a great box of rods to have to help children understand the value of each number. It can be ordered from the office for £20. The children that have this at home are very confident using it in class.
Some children are working on their Wall of 5. It should look something like this.
Children need lots of scissor practise. If your child is left handed make sure you get the correct ones for them to practise with.
Please use their Kipper pack to practise making lots of sentences over the Hallowe'en holidays. You could write down the sentences they make in a little book that they could read by themselves.
If you want to make a grid for your child - draw numbers on a piece of paper and let the child go around the house to find objects to put on their Grid.
I hope this is some help to you. I will put up some Cuisenaire games again.
