We created these jungle pictures inspired by the French artist, Henri Rousseau. The tiger is made separately and attached, using fronds of paper for foliage and flowers. The background was sponge and brush painted.

We worked in groups to make a boat which would hold the most number of glass beads before sinking. Each group had 1m of tin foil and a roll of sellotape. We had 13 minutes to complete the challenge! The best boat held 357 beads! It was great fun and we learnt that it is important to think about the size of your boat, its strengths and the height of its sides.

We have been constructing 3D Titanic models using junk materials. First we used a cereal box to create the hull and the living quarters of the ship. Then we used cardboard tubes to create the funnels - all four of them! It was very tricky to join it all together using masking tape. Finally we painted our models, adding a stripe on the funnels and windows on the living quarters. The results are pretty amazing!

All P7 pupils in Northern Ireland are being asked to take part in the annual Life and Times survey. A letter will come home on Monday to explain more. It is an online survey and we will give pupils who which to take part the opportunity during school time over the next few weeks.
