Many thanks to those parents and friends who came along to support us last week when we presented "Cinderella and Rockerfella". It was great fun but took a lot of hard work! Well done to all the pupils, who worked really hard to learn all their lines and songs, and to the team of staff who brought it all together. Here are a few photos of the main characters (we are missing a fairy, who went home sick!).
Cinderella and Rockerfella - head to toe designer leather!!
The Ugly Sisters - Gusty and Nasty!
Fairy Godmother and the transformed Fairy Nastyboots.
The Fairy Brigade (minus one - poor Erin)!

We had a visit from Professor Elliott from Queen's University. He is a scientist and he let us dress up in a proper white coat! We learnt about safely storing food in the fridge and in cupboards. It was great fun!

On Friday May 20th, P7 students attended the annual "Bee Safe" event which involved participating in seven short workshops focussed on both embracing diversity and learning about aspects of safety.
The home safety "bingo game" was noisy, competitive and fun but the answers involved serious messages such as recognizing and dealing with carbon monoxide poisoning.
P7 on the "safety bus"; this workshop included short DVD clips and was presented by Susan from Translink. She explained how to stay safe if travelling to post primary school by bus.
The presentation from the fire service focussed on information on staying safe when lighting and enjoying a barbecue and the short DVD clip demonstrated how quickly a fire can start and spread if safety rules are not followed.
Holly, Erin, Emma and Erin with Serena who presented the diversity and global connections workshop.
Cameron, Stewart and Matthew adding their answers to the world map during the global connections workshop.
Courtney and Nicole won keyrings at the event for giving high quality answers during the workshops. Well done, girls!
