Tuesday 10th February was Safer Internet Day. Every class discussed Internet Safety. Pupils made pledges about their Internet use and some classes watched a video explaining about the dangers of the internet.
The PSNI came in to talk to our Key Stage 2 pupils about being"S.M.A.R.T" on the internet. We were taught that:
S is for staying safe on the internet
M is for not arranging to meet strangers
A is for alaways tell an adult if you see something on the internet that upsets you
R is for reliable websites - only use trustworthy websites and to be responsible whilst using the internet
T is for tell someone if you receive emails from someone you don't know or if someone asks to meet up with you
We all now know the dangers of the internet and realise that we have to stay SMART when we use the internet.
