Primary One had a great time yesterday popping in and out to see what stage the polytunnel was at. We watched the men at different times of the day to see what stage they were at. Dean was the boss and he told us all sorts of useful information about how the tunnel was made and what we could plant in the Planters. He told us to remember to soak the peas overnight so they grow more quickly and to keep the lettuce seeds in the fridge before planting!!
He explained how the galvanized steel hoops were made in his engineering firm and told Sammy that he would need to cover the base in concrete and make a path to the tunnel.
We are looking forward to taking our turn in the tunnel to plant some vegetables or fruit.
Thanks again to Dean and his team.
