School Council 2017-2018

AnnouncementsPosted by Miss Hamilton Wed, September 20, 2017 11:10PM

The first couple of weeks back at school included the opportunity for students from P4-P7 to prepare speeches to deliver to their classes in the hope of becoming a School Council Representative. The group comprises ten students - two from each of the upstairs classes. After all the votes were counted the following students have been elected for this academic year:

Bobby, Sophie, Alex, Marcel, Robin, Darragh, Kanye, Scott, Emma and Dan.

Congratulations to all ten students; they have already been busy meeting with Mrs. Cranston to discuss their ideas for the coming months:

Photographer: Erin (P7)

Each upstairs classroom is linked to a downstairs classroom so that the younger students also have a chance to make suggestions and give opinions. Last week, the School Council reps met their link classes and introduced themselves in Assembly. Emma from P7 has designed a factfile for all the reps so you can learn more about them; check out the School Council board beside the dinner hall. Dan from P7 has created a rota for ABA duties in the P1-P3 playground. Remember you voted for this group, please share any ideas with them that might improve our school!

Parking

AnnouncementsPosted by R. Clarke Fri, June 16, 2017 01:55PM
I would ask all parents to refrain from parking across the driveway of the children's home opposite the school. Staff are being obstructed from entering the driveway and one parent was rude when asked to move her car. Please park on the school side of the road.

Key Stage 2 Midsummer Musical

AnnouncementsPosted by Miss Hamilton Wed, June 07, 2017 07:23PM
P7 will be presenting a performance of "Alice in Wonderland" on the evening of June 22nd as their final farewell to Round Tower IPS. Any P5/P6 students who wish to audition for a slot to perform at the "Open Mic" part of this evening are welcome to do so. You should select your own piece / song and provide a backing track on CD or MP3 format. Performances can be solo/duet or small group and may involve reading poetry, singing, dancing or playing instruments. Auditions will be held on June 14th and anyone wishing to participate must bring Miss Hamilton a note from a parent indicating that if selected they are available to perform on the evening of Thursday June 22nd (beginning at 6.30pm.) Students will not be permitted to audition if a parental note has not be sent into school. If you are selected to perform a note will be sent home next week giving information regarding tickets etc.
Thank you for your support.
