It was lovely to take a walk along Scarecrow Avenue at the recent Garden Show Ireland held in Castle Grounds showcasing all the wonderful scarecrows promoting integrated schools across Northern Ireland. We are delighted that our 'Bird Man' won Best Group Effort! Well done to all the families who made super birds! He looks amazing and will return to our school garden soon, after having such a busy weekend😀!

Friday 19th January 2018 - Weather.

AnnouncementsPosted by R. Clarke Fri, January 19, 2018 08:15AM
Good morning, school is open this morning as normal. Whilst Antrim is currently fairly clear, outlying areas have had snow over night, with a forecast for the Antrim area of more snow (possibly heavy) throughout the day. We will continue to monitor the weather situation during the day and as always, we will make any decisions based on the safety of the pupils, their families and the staff. Should any decisions regarding early collection etc. need to be made, we will inform you via text, this website and the PTA Facebook page. Please travel safe. S Cranston

School is open and operating as normal today; roads around Antrim seem fine, but do please take care when travelling as there are still patches of snow and ice on untreated areas.

School Council 2017-2018

AnnouncementsPosted by Miss Hamilton Wed, September 20, 2017 11:10PM

The first couple of weeks back at school included the opportunity for students from P4-P7 to prepare speeches to deliver to their classes in the hope of becoming a School Council Representative. The group comprises ten students - two from each of the upstairs classes. After all the votes were counted the following students have been elected for this academic year:

Bobby, Sophie, Alex, Marcel, Robin, Darragh, Kanye, Scott, Emma and Dan.

Congratulations to all ten students; they have already been busy meeting with Mrs. Cranston to discuss their ideas for the coming months:

Each upstairs classroom is linked to a downstairs classroom so that the younger students also have a chance to make suggestions and give opinions. Last week, the School Council reps met their link classes and introduced themselves in Assembly. Emma from P7 has designed a factfile for all the reps so you can learn more about them; check out the School Council board beside the dinner hall. Dan from P7 has created a rota for ABA duties in the P1-P3 playground. Remember you voted for this group, please share any ideas with them that might improve our school!
